It’s with bittersweet sadness that we inform you Phil Strong will be winding up his paid ministry at Living Church at the end of 2021.

In his time with Living Church, Phil has been an invaluable member of our preaching team; and a great encouragement to the rest of the staff, the Senior’s Growth Group, our Springfield congregation, the ministry at Vela, and as he pastorally cared for those, both in our church family, and in our community that came to seek comfort and support from us. He will be sorely missed.

Over the last few years, Phil’s role as Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of Queensland has required a lot of his time and resources, and in 2020 he wound back his hours with Living Church to put his focus on PCQ.

His mother, wife, and daughters have been members of our church community both at Carina and Springfield over the years, and they will continue to worship with the Springfield congregation for the time being.

But as he finishes up his paid ministry, please join the board and staff in thanking Phil for his faithful service to God and our church, and praying for him and the work God will be doing in and through him in the future.

Phil will be preaching his last sermon at the Carina Campus on December 19, and we invite you to join us as we say thank you.
