Partnership with AFES at work

This week at the Ministry Centre, we have hosted AFES staff workers from all over QLD.

Late last week, with the COVID19 restrictions still in place in Brisbane, we received a call for help from our Mission Partners Katharine and Peter Yock (AFES at the Conservatorium, and College of Arts).

AFES were set to have 3 days of planning and training, but found themselves with a group that exceeded the capacity of the house they had planned to use.

It is a privilege to be able to offer our facilities to help our Mission Partners as a tangible expression of our partnership.

Please continue to pray for our Mission Partners with AFES – Peter and Katharine Yock, Danae Woodward (Griffith Uni Nathan Campus), and James and Honoria Brennan (FOCUS UQ) – as they plan and shape their ministries in the current environment.

A Challenge Ahead

In their planning for this year, something weighing heavily on AFES Uni Workers is: How do we meet students when Orientation Week is up in the air, and students are doing more study online? How can we build relationships with them in which we can share Jesus?

If you know anyone heading to uni this year, AFES have put together this website aimed at connecting new students to a campus group. Please consider sharing this site, and pray for those starting Uni this year. https://www.headingtouni.info
