Long Service Leave

Hi Church Family, Some of you will have already heard that this January I passed the decade mark in ministering on staff to the kids and families of our church community. There’s been more highs than lows, and I’ve enjoyed seeing so many young people grow in their love for Jesus and his family here at Living Church. Thank you for allowing me this privilege. After 10 years in the same ministry role, and two years marred by covid, it seems prudent to take some time to take stock of these past 10 years of ministry and seek God’s guidance to reinvigorate my passion for this ministry with which I have been entrusted.  With this in mind my family and I have made the decision to take some Long Service Leave in the middle of the year. I will be on LSL from June 13 until the end of July. Sadly this will mean I miss being a part of Kids Community Connect this year, however I’m confident that Megan Wallace and core team of leaders planning the event will do a stellar job in my absence. While I won’t be such a prominent face upfront for KCC this year, I will still be supporting the core team behind the scenes and using some of the time freed up by not leading the team to wrestle more deeply with what discipleship to kids a families looks like in the 21st century. Thankyou for your ongoing prayer and support over the years.  It really is a joy to serve the Lord along side such a wonderful church family. – Tom Fittell Living Church Kids Pastor
