Living Church Prayer – 20 October 2022

Thanks be to you, Lord Jesus Christ, for all the benefits you have won for us, for all the pains and insults you have borne for us.
O most merciful Redeemer, friend and brother, may we know you more clearly, love you more dearly, and follow you more nearly, day by day.

  • Thank God for the Elders, Pastors, and Missionaries from the six regions in the Philippines, and for the time they were able to spend encouraging each other at their bi-annual retreat. Praise him for the work being done in and through these faithful leaders, and continue to pray that he will sustain them and grow their churches. For a more detailed update on the Tala Andig Outreach Program (TAOP), see the post in this week’s newsletter
  • Pray for God to be amongst us this Sunday. That we might have ears and hearts to hear God’s word to us, that we would be welcoming to those who visit, and that lives will be changed
  • Pray for plans and preparation for Carols and Christmas. Be praying for those around us that need to hear the unchanging hope that Jesus brought into the world, that they would be invited and welcomed into our church, and that the message of Christmas would be proclaimed clearly.
  • Continue to remember those in our congregation who are struggling with injury and illness. Pray God will bring peace in affliction.
