Living Church Creek Road in partnership with our local schools are working together to provide Christmas hampers to families within our community who are in need. We hope to bring some joy to these families in what’s been a trying 2020 for many on account of COVID-19 and to help them feel loved and cared for this Christmas.

Can you help?  Can you spare $50 to sponsor a single hamper for a family in need of support and encouragement this Christmas?

If you can, here are a couple of ways you can contribute.

We have made a shopping list available, which totals around $50 in value.  You can use this list to go shopping and purchase all the items and then drop them into the church.

Alternatively, if you aren’t able to shop yourself, you can instead donate $50 via this gofundme page, or via the giving box at the church in a clearly marked envelope, and one or our team will do the shopping and drop the items into the church for you.

We need to act quickly though!  

The Chaplains and Guidance Officers we’ve spoken with have indicated that they’d like to deliver the hampers before the end of school term.  This means, we need to have received all shopping and cash donations by no later than Monday 7th December – which is a little under two weeks!

We’ve set an ambitious goal to assemble 25 hampers this year.  That’s 25 families that we hope will experience the generosity of their community this Christmas!  If we do exceed that total however, we will reach out to other community schools and organisations and find a suitable home for them.  There will be no shortage of people in need this Christmas.  This is a great opportunity.  Please consider giving if you are able. These hampers have always been warmly and gratefully received over the years and this year, they might just mean that little bit more.
