Well done – we made it! We have successfully funded 25 out of 25 hampers. We would like to extend a huge thankyou to all those who have generously donated hampers, either physically, via the gofundme page or via our usual church giving channels!  It really has been a wonderful response.

If you’ve missed all the action, please check out this post from last week’s newsletter. If you were hoping to donate, but didn’t quite get there, please read on – there are still ways you can help. Also, if you have already purchased items but haven’t yet dropped them off, we are still accepting donations until the morning of Monday 7th December and we will assemble more than the target number of 25 hampers if we have the items. We’ll definitely find homes for all of the hampers we build.

We’ve also received some wonderfully generous donations from local businesses, including IGA Carina, Bunnings Cannon Hill and Dendy Coorparoo, which is above and beyond!  These businesses have been so quick to respond.  Some of these businesses have faithfully contributed to our hampers in previous years also and always very generously.  We’re so grateful for their contributions and we thank them sincerely on behalf of our church community, our local schools and most notably, the families who will receive these hampers.

Looking ahead now, we will need help next week.  Starting Monday 7th Dec and through to Wednesday 9th Dec, we would love people to help with:

• Last minute shopping for hamper items and decorations (could be started Sunday)
• Design and production of cards/notes and carols invites (this can be started asap)
• Logistics/Assembling hampers
• Decorating hampers
