Board Announcement – Resignation of Petrina Rangiawha

Petrina has resigned from her position at Living Church and as a PCQ Accredited Ministry worker effective from the 5 August 2021.  Her last day in the office will be Friday 16 July when she takes leave.  Petrina has been the church office manager for the past few years. Formally, the role is organising our series companions, the smooth running of our office administration, Sunday events, compliance activities and many other behind the scenes activities.

We praise God for Petrina. Her love for Jesus shines through her love for people. Petrina uses her gifts to encourage others to trust God. She helps through ad-hoc conversations and one on one mentoring. She shares strategies on how to love people through daily life as well as difficult and complex pastoral care needs. Many of these conversations are unseen to most of us, yet are seen by our great God. Her presence and humor will be missed around the office.

Petrina says:

“I want to thank the congregation, staff and board for these 2 1/2 years I’ve been trusted to work here. It’s been a joy to serve God in this way as a full time job and I’ve loved working here! I have grown a lot in my faith in and I give God glory for that. I’m taking this next step in faith trusting God in the process that he opens and closes doors as he wishes and is in control of my life. Thank you for your support and it’s not good bye as Living Church will continue to be my church.”

Petrina has accepted an opportunity  to work as a Senior Practitioner helping young people end the cycle of homelessness and marginalization, a role in which she is well qualified to excel.  Please congratulate Petrina on achieving this appointment and pray for Petrina as she transitions to this new role.
