As we move into the second half of Ephesians we have a new song we will be singing starting this Sunday. Here are some thoughts from Celia Cole, as she and Brad chose the songs this term, including this new one:
After being encouraged by the themes we heard last term, this song seems a great fit for helping us reflect on the incomprehensible depth to God’s love that we see in Eph. 3:18-19. As we look to the second half of Ephesians and learn of the ways our lives change because of these truths, this song reminds us that it is only by God’s grace and power that we are transformed to live more like Christ.
“You bore my weakness
You took my shame
Buried my burdens in fields of grace
You called me out, lifted me up
How great is your love”
