Sharing resources to see kids in detention know Jesus

On the weekend G shared, that as BYDC brought in changes to address the COVID19 outbreak, he & Nat were given a very short period of time to source and deliver Care Packages for the young people.  Everything had to be at the Centre by 3pm on Monday.

So plenty of pressure and not much time.  But God knew.  In the cupboard, in the Connect Lounge at the Creek Road Campus was a big pile of Essential Jesus.   Living Church has used these for some time to share with people who are new to the gospel, who are ready to consider Christ.   So instead of them sitting in our cupboard, those copies are now in the hands of young people who are in lockdown.

There was a small army of people working on Monday who helped source everything from stress balls to colouring pencils. There were others who couldn’t physically help, but were able to donate money towards buying supplies. There was a group of people who were able to write cards of encouragement, prayers, and scripture to go with the packs, and of course those that helped put together and deliver the packages. Praise God for the work he was able to do through His people, and 125 packs were delivered to BYDC on Monday afternoon

Please pray:-

  • That the gospel will change lives in BYDC
  • That G & Nat will be able to follow up with the young people and speak to them about what they read in their Essential Jesus
  • Thanks that we had the resources available and ready to go and pray that Living Church will get the opportunity to partner more in the future
  • Thanks for the partners in Christ who were able to get this first wave of care packs off
